Foraged Wreath Making with Florescent at The Lantern | May 4
The Lantern hosted our foraged spring wreath event with Brooklyn floral designer Samantha Smerconish of Florescent. Samantha led participants on a brief foraging excursion to collect local ingredients (vines, dried florals, foliage, pinecones, etc.) and then discussed the methods of wreath making and design. Each student was provided with a grapevine wreath frame to either fully or partially cover using their natural products. Additional dried florals were provided and students were also encouraged to bring any materials they found on their own ahead of class.
