Cottage Courses are artist-led workshops created to share unique methods and skills within our community. Founded in 2022, these all-level classes feature a rotating roster of guest artists and instructors, each bringing their own creative approach to learning and making. Every course grows out of the instructor's own practice, offering a glimpse into their ideas and techniques in a relaxed, welcoming setting. Our aim is to inspire participants to create, experiment, and innovate while building new friendships along the way.

Our courses are nomadic. We often host workshops at Troutbeck in Amenia, NY, but we're always exploring new locations. Dates and times are listed in each course description.

 

Our Policy

Cancellations made at least one week before the workshop are eligible for a full refund. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for cancellations made within one week of the workshop. Registration transfers or exchanges may be accommodated on a case-by-case basis.

If a workshop does not meet the minimum enrollment, Cottage Courses reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the class. In this case, participants will receive either a full refund or the option to transfer to a future workshop.
