Join us for a 3-hour bookbinding workshop where you'll create a softcover book entirely by hand. Beginning with folded pages, we'll sew the text block and construct a sturdy paper cover, transforming simple materials into a finished book ready to be filled with writing, drawings, ideas, or collected ephemera.
This elegant and versatile binding is accessible to recreate at home with minimal tools, making it an ideal structure for journals, sketchbooks, artist books, and creative projects of all kinds. Along the way, we'll explore the fundamentals of bookbinding while gaining an appreciation for the handmade book as both a functional object and an artistic medium.
Whether you're new to bookbinding or have some experience with simple pamphlet stitches, this workshop offers a welcoming introduction to the craft and a chance to deepen your skills.
All materials are provided.
