Join us at The Lantern on Saturday, May 4th from 3-5:30pm, to create your very own foraged spring wreath with Brooklyn floral designer Samantha Smerconish of Florescent. Samantha will lead participants on a brief foraging excursion to collect local ingredients (vines, dried florals, foliage, pinecones, etc.) before discussing the methods of wreath making and design. Each student will be provided with a grapevine wreath frame to either fully or partially cover using their natural product. Additional dried florals will be provided for use, and students are also encouraged to bring any materials they find on their own ahead of class. Celebrate the natural beauty of Wassaic and the spring season by creating your own custom wreath!
