Freeform Quilting 3 Day Course | July 29-31, 2026 from 9am-12pm in Wassaic, NY

Freeform Quilting is an invitation to explore quilting as an open, intuitive art form. Working without patterns or strict rules, participants will experiment with improvisational piecing, color, and texture to create a one-of-a-kind piece. The course is flexible to support individual goals - students may choose to create a small quilt, a quilted wall hanging, or an art-focused textile work. Using a combination of machine and hand sewing, we will explore all stages of the quilting process, along with appliqué techniques. Emphasis is placed on process over perfection, creative exploration, and developing a personal approach to quilting.

Beginners are welcome. All materials and tools will be provided, though participants are encouraged to bring any special fabrics they’d like to incorporate into their work. Classs size is limited to 8 participants.
