Quilt Camp (for adults) | July 27 - 31, 2026 from 10am-4pm in Wassaic, NY

Quilt Camp for Adults is a five-day immersive workshop designed for makers who want time, space, and encouragement to dive deeply into quilting, whether that means crafting a traditional quilt or venturing into more experimental, sculptural territory. Participants are free to follow their own interests, working within familiar quilt structures or pushing beyond them to incorporate dimensional elements, unconventional materials, and art-driven approaches.

The week blends demonstrations, group discussions, guided prompts, and generous open studio time. You’ll be supported as you explore construction, surface design, color, texture, and form at your own pace. Emphasis is placed on process, curiosity, and creative risk-taking rather than speed or perfection.

Quilt Camp welcomes experienced quilters, fiber artists, and adventurous beginners alike. By the end of the five days, you’ll leave with a finished (or well-developed) quilt or textile artwork that reflects your personal vision, along with fresh ideas, new techniques, and a renewed sense of creative momentum.

Monday July 27 - Friday 31, 2026 from 10am-4pm in the studio of Natalie Baxter in Wassaic, NY. Max of 8 participants.

All materials and tools will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring specific fabrics if they desire. Everyone will have their own sewing machine to work with, however, you're welcome to bring your own sewing machine if you prefer. There is a full kitchen on site and lunch, snacks, and drinks will be provided daily.

A typical day of camp will be from 10am-12pm guided instruction of a technique or a presentation of work for inspiration, a break for lunch, then an afternoon of open studio time with assistance as needed.
